Rachel,
You need to eat all of your points! No wonder you're tired!

I agree. Eat all your points. Eat your exercise points daily. Eat your bonus points. You will lose 1-2 pounds per week, and you will feel less deprived. Good luck!

Rachel:
I'm 46 and been on every diet!
I am also just sick to death of my self cuz I am an eating machine. I am resolving to stay on this plan with you. If you can do it I can too.
Thanks for your effort and encouragement

Can anyone tell me how many points I should have a day to lose weight. I am 190 lbs and want to be 160 lbs.

I am new to this diet - I need some guidance. It is time to be serious and get healthy. I found a formula that tells me to have 33 points per day. Can someone explain exercise points? Thank you so much for the help.

there is a neat little formula you enter your information into to get whatever points you require. This is the new formula, as of February this year anyway.

Weight Watchers Updated: Your personal daily points target- use this formula

1. Are you
female?- score 2
Male?- score 8
A nursing mom?- score 12

2. How old are you?
17-26- score 4
27-37- score 3
38-47- score 2
48-58- score 1
over 58- score 0

3.What do you weigh?
Enter the first two digits of your weight in pounds.
(for example, if you weight 199, you will add 19 to your score)

4. How tall are you?
Under 5’1- score 0
5’1-5’10- score 1
Over 5’10- score 2

5. How do you spend most of your day?
Sitting down? score 0
Occasionally sitting? score 2
Walking most of the time? score 4
Doing physically hard work most of the time? score 6

Now add them all together and that’s your daily total.

Hi Rachel, I am with weight watchers in and out since 2002. For my weight allowed having 18-23 points per day. Some days are good, some are not. However everything what you are doing you are doing for yourself! I can suggest you to rearrange your points for food, for the same amount of points you can have more food (amount and quality, healthier.) You can have just 1 cup skim milk (2p) and a slice of multigrain bread (2p and fill you better) instead wheat bread. 6oz of turkey (5 – 6p) gives you more protein than 4 oz pork, and turkey is better for your health. ½ of grapefruit for 1p let you have 1 pear for 1p (pears are full of fibers). Good luck, be strong and do not starve yourself!!!

Hi,
I did the diet 2 years a go and lost a lot of weight. I went off of it and gained it back because I totally gave into gluttony...

They way I was successful with WW was with a LOT of variety. One bit rule was to eat from the colors of the rainbow. (Cheesy I know). Eat a lot of 0 point food.

One thing especially that I did, was take a can of fat free condensed mushroom soup, but it into an ice tray, freeze it and remove the cubes. (Each one was 1 point.) This thickened and added flavor to everything. Soooo valuable to me because I like savory things.

Recipe example:
4 ounce thinly sliced chicken breast
10 sliced mushrooms
1 finely chopped onion
3 cloves of garlic
pinch pepper
1 or 2 cubes of mushroom soup.
Saute with a little of water and Becel Butter spray.
Add mushroom soup cube at the end.
Serve in a whole wheat wrap or over 3/4 cup whole wheat penne.

The big idea is to EAT MORE! You could also add peppers, spinach, broccoli, cabbage etc.

Hi, my name is Renee. I am 30 and a mother of two boys. I do not work and I am 220pounds and 5"4. I am very overweight. I just came across this journal and see everyone helping each other out and would really like a part in that as well. I eat when I am board, stressed, when the lids eat and I am not even hungry, just a lot. i am embarrassed to go work out at a club but I do go to a pond by my house from time to time to walk around. I am very out of shape. I want to be healthy for myself and my boys so very bad. I do not want to die like this. any advice please help.... :) thank you to all of you strong people....

Hi Renee, I'm over weight too. I am trying something new and maybe it will work for you. I am having either a salad, steamed or fresh veggies or 0 point soup with every meal + 1 large glass of water. Afterwards, I drink a large cup of decaf tea. I would eat with the kids, but eat something healthy. Have you ever done weight watchers?
