Musings

Well, that's frustrating. I just got a call saying that my appointment to see the nutritionist this afternoon has been canceled. I was really looking forward to going and getting some good ideas. Hmph.

So, here's my question for all you wonderful readers. Does anyone have any good suggestions for websites that have articles about healthy eating, weight loss, exercise, etc? Bonus points if they're entertaining as well as informative.. :)

Welcome to Blogger, if you go to my blog you will find a bunch of good blogs from people doing Weight Watchers or just eating healthy. Good luck with your goals!

someone already put my favorite one in there (sparkpeople) but I really like your blog - I'm not "officially" on any program at all but the Weight Watchers points one seems to be pretty good so I do use it as a gauge of how well I am doing. Your blog and website are really informative-thanks for sharing!

For starters, I think that's great you are going to a nutritionist! My Kaiser has a program, too, I was thinking of signing up. It's very hard to make a W.W. meeting because we only have one car. If you can purchase one of those "bungee" cords for resistance training. I love my bungee cord, comes in handy in a pinch and I can do it while watching my favorite show or talking on the phone. I think they are pretty cheap, but a wise investment. They come in different strengths. I bought a "belly Dancing" tape for exercise because that looks fun, actually tried it and it IS challenging but fun. Happy exercising!!!

I like www.prevention.com (basically an online version of their print magazine).

Hope you get to see your nutritionist soon, I saw one regularly when I was first diagnosed with diabetes and she was a huge help and so supportive.
